Warrenstreet Architects was retained
by Franklin Regional Hospital to design renovation and expansion
plans for a new Primary Health Care Center in Franklin, N.H. SGH
attended various programmatic, staff, administrative, and tenant
meetings to gather information for the new heath facility called
Health First Family Care Center.
The challenge of this project was to design a flow pattern with a
joint waiting room for four tenants (Child & Family Services,
Riverbend Community Mental Health, Health First, and CAP Family
Planning), and a separate waiting room, entry, and office space for
CAP Family Planning within the same building which would enable
tenants to utilize exam rooms, laboratory space, and reception area.
The flow pattern was accomplished by doors on each side of the
waiting room/receptionist area/intake window, in which the patient
enters through one door, and once inside, given directions based on
a color scheme (each exam "pod", consisting of three exam rooms and
one consulting room were painted in different colors), then the
patient exits through the other door to complete their outtake
process.
