Warrenstreet Architects developed a
design and cost proposal along with Milestone Engineering &
Construction, Inc that was selected among three invited design-build
firms.
The design convinced the School to abandon plans to add onto the
existing library and build a separate building to House the School
of Innovative Learning.
The design is an anchor building for the overall Campus Plan. The
use of exterior building materials reflect those used consistently
throughout the property and are detailed for low maintenance.
The building is an envelope space that houses the most advanced
technology used today to both teach and learn. Inside, there are
several large classroom spaces along with audio and video support
space.
The use of interior materials where chosen on functionality, ease of
maintenance, the association of high technology, and projecting an
image of welcoming comfort.
